
Held at University of Toronto – Rotman School of Management, our 2018 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY (MARCH 8) event gathered investors, not-for-profits, corporations, government and academia together to celebrate the growing movement of advocacy, activism and positive change towards gender parity.

Sponsored by RBC, the event kicked off with a lively fireside chat moderated by RBC’s John Stackhouse with OMERS‘ Satish Rai, RBC’s Lindsay Patrick, Sherritt International Corporation‘s David Pathe, and Rotman’s Beatrix Dart, touching on our progress towards gender parity as well as continued efforts where companies can leverage the Alliances’ Directors’ Playbook for practical tools.
CIBC‘s Victor Dodig, Chair of the 30% Club Canada and Catalyst Canada’s Advisory Board introduced the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada as the keynote speaker. Catalyst Canada’s Tanya van Biesen sat down with the Prime Minister to discuss gender parity in Canada.
Finally, Janice Fukakusa, Chair of Canada Infrastructure Bank/ Banque de l’infrastructure du Canada took the stage with closing remarks as we continue to #PressforProgress.
