Accelerating progress
The 30% Club Germany Investor Group is a newly established initiative of six members, representing around 4.5 trillion euros in assets under management.
Allianz Global Investors, Amundi, Candriam, Columbia Threadneedle Investments, LGIM, and Sycomore AM will engage collaboratively to help accelerate progress on gender balance that addresses the way companies approach diversity issues and promote cognitive diversity at senior decision-making levels.
The overarching aim of the collaborative group is to boost the number of women in board seats and within the executive leadership of DAX 40 and MDAX companies in Germany.
We believe that supervisory and management boards that genuinely illustrate cognitive diversity, as manifested through appropriate gender representation and a broader spectrum of skills and experience, are more likely to achieve better long-term outcomes for investors.
Our aspiration
We call on listed companies in Germany to represent the diversity of society and to work on pushing through the glass ceiling that still exists in order to achieve cognitive diversity.
As members of the 30% Club Germany Investor Group, our aim is to help companies increase the representation of women in the DAX 40 management board from around 22% on average as of August 2023 to at least 30% by 2030. In addition, we aspire to include MDAX companies in this target going forward and encourage every DAX40 and MDAX company to reach at least 30% of women on their supervisory board. This aspirational goal will be the basis for our engagement with companies.

The Group will collaborate with a community of investors on the issue of gender diversity and generate open discussions with the DAX40 and MDAX companies and support them in accelerating their progress. We believe that by combining our efforts, we can achieve more.
