As part of the 30% Club’s broadening focus on all levels of the pipeline, we are delighted to have partnered with 3 leading UK business schools, Henley, Oxford SAÏD and London Business Schools to offer 3 fully-funded 30% Club scholarships on an Executive MBA course, including Oxford SAÏD’s world-class rated Executive MBA.
We have renewed our relationship with Henley Business School, and the 30% Club Henley MBA scholarship is now in its second year. The quality of applicants for the inaugural Henley scholarship last year was outstanding, and all provided a diverse range of perspectives to the gender balance problem in their entry essays. Surbjit Kaur, a Senior Supply Chain and Operations Manager at EY, fought off tough competition to win a fully-funded place, worth £34,000.
We also have 2 new scholarships for 2014 – Executive MBA courses at London Business School and Oxford SAÏD Business School. Oxford SAÏD Business School’s Executive MBA is ranked 21st worldwide in the FT’s global ranking of EMBAs (Oct 2014) and in the Economist ranking of 2013 the Oxford Executive MBA was ranked No 4 in the World and No 1 in the UK.
Application to both will again be via essay, with the judging panel consisting of senior figures from the world of academia and business, alongside 30% Club representatives.
We were particularly keen for the scholarships to be fully-funded so as to remove any financial hurdles from the decision to pursue an EMBA, and each EMBA programme is designed to develop senior managers, encouraging and enabling them to meet their true potential. The 30% Club’s support for the scholarships reflects the ethos of our Balancing the Pyramid initiative which aims to encourage and increase female gender balance at all organisational levels.
