The Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the 30% Club and Russell Reynolds Associates, have today released a report calling on UK business leaders to take more proactive steps to address the gender imbalance in the executive leadership pipeline, following the release of the 2019 Hampton-Alexander Review report.
Companies that fail to consider gender in areas such as strategy development, product & service design, marketing, customer experience and supply chains are likely to “miss millions” of insights, customers and revenues.
The historic milestone follows a long-running campaign by the 30% Club to reach a third female representation on FTSE boards
Masahiko Uotani, President and CEO of Shiseido Company Limited (“Shiseido”), has been appointed as Chair of 30% Club Japan. Yoriko Goto, Chair of Deloitte Tohmatsu Group, and Douglas Hymas, Country Executive of the Bank of New York Mellon, have been appointed as Vice Chairs.
The 30% Club and London Business School have joined forces once again to give more women the tools to achieve CEO and C-Suite positions by offering a scholarship for the School’s highly rated Senior Executive Programme. The scholarship is for women with around 15 years of managerial experience who should already be in senior positions in large organisations.
The 30% Club is pleased to announce a new leadership structure which reflects the ongoing UK success and growing international influence of the campaign.
