As part of our ‘schoolroom to boardroom’ continuum, the 30% Club has broadened its activities to include a number of key pipeline initiatives including one with business schools. Graduate management education and executive programmes act as accelerators to promotions and ultimately to senior leadership roles. However, female representation on many of these programmes remains low (please click here for more information from Brenda Trenowden, 30% Club Global Chair, on why this matters and what's being done to change it). As a result, we have developed partnerships with a number of leading business schools to offer scholarships to women for Senior Executive Programmes, MBAs, Executive MBAs and other Masters Programmes. Currently, we are working with Alliance Manchester, Edinburgh Business School, ESMT (Berlin), Henley, Imperial College, London Business School, MIP Graduate School of Business (Milan), Queen’s Smith Business School (Canada), SAID Business School at Oxford University, SDA Bocconi School of Management (Milan) and Warwick Business School.
If you interested in partnering on a scholarship with the 30% Club please be in touch with Francoise Higson.
The ESMT Berlin MIM is a 24 month program combining fieldwork in global companies with applied coursework and research on the latest business and management theories. Admitted students have a variety of academic backgrounds and use the time at ESMT to gain valuable knowledge and interdisciplinary experience to apply their previous expertise to economic and management problems. The program is divided into two streams with a focus on international management. One stream (Quantitative Business) is designed for quantitative decision analysts and one stream for creative and strategic thinkers (Innovative Management). The ESMT MIM program uses an interdisciplinary approach: students apply analytical models to understand the global economy, product development, and new techniques in technology management within global companies. Students gain up to 10 months of in-company and project experience in German enterprises, Berlin start-ups or abroad. Committed internship companies include Allianz, Axel Springer, BMW, Barclays, Bosch, Daimler, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Post DHL, E.ON, EY, Gazprom, McKinsey, Siemens and ThyssenKrupp. In addition, all students learn an additional foreign language: German for international students and a global language for German students (such as Spanish, Chinese or Russian). The MIM program is 87% international with students from 28 countries. ESMT was founded by 25 leading German corporations and institutions and is accredited by AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS, and FIBAA. ESMT is pleased to partner with the 30% Club to offer a 50% tuition scholarship to incoming MIM students. Application details can be found here. The application deadline is 30 May 2017.
